Free Wi-Fi service is available at tourist locations and the central area of Miyazaki city. This service utilizes the “Miyazaki Free Wi-Fi,” which is a service provided by Miyazaki Prefecture. When using this service, users are required to perform an authentication procedure using a valid email address or social media account. Users can also access this service through the “Japan Wi-Fi auto-connect” app provided by NTT Broadband platform Inc.

Anyone can use this service after completing an email address or social media verification process. (Unlimited number of sessions, up to 30 minutes per session).

The following 5 languages are supported: Japanese, English, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese
■Points of concern
In order to make this service easy to use for everyone, including tourists from overseas, the wireless signal is not encrypted. Therefore, if a user with malicious intent gains access, passwords, credit card numbers, or any other personal information entered while connected to this service has a possibility to be intercepted. We ask that you avoid entering any personal information when using this service and that you use this service at your own risk.
■How to connect
① Turn on the Wi-Fi on your smartphone or other device. Select the SSID "MIYAZAKI FREE Wi-Fi" from the network list selection screen.
② Start your browser (internet browsing software) and the portal screen will appear
③ Log in using your email or social media account.
④ Your temporary registration is complete; if you registered with a social media account, the social media you selected will open.
⑤ Confirm the registration verification email and open the registration completion URL. (*The registration verification email will not be sent if you register using your social media account.)
⑥ Connection is complete and the FREE Wi-Fi service is now available for use.

Miyazaki City Hall has a main building, a second building, a third building, and a fourth building. Please note that the free Wi-Fi is only available in the main building.

・Roadside Station(Michinoeki) Phoenix
Located in the Horikiri Pass area of the Nichinan Kaigan National Park, Michinoeki Phoenix overlooks the beautiful blue ocean and the oddly shaped natural rock formation called Oni-no Sentaku-iwa from its observation deck.
Beautiful flowers bloom throughout the four seasons, creating an atmosphere like a tropical resort. The popular soft-serve ice cream is perfect for a break.
・Aoshima Beach Center
During the summer, many people visit Aoshima beach which is considered to be the most famous beach in the prefecture. In addition to swimming, it is also a famous spot for surfing, stand-up paddle boarding, and many other marine sports! Don’t worry if you are a beginner either, there is a wide range of marine sports experiences available with rental gear that you can enjoy as well. When you get tired of playing in the ocean, taking a rest at the Aoshima Beach Park situated in front of the beach is highly recommended too.
・Aoshima Shrine
Aoshima Shrine is a classic tourist attraction in Miyazaki.
The shrine is located in the center of Aoshima Island, an island that is said to be entirely within the shrine’s sacred grounds. Visitors can cross the Yayoi Bridge from the mainland to visit the shrine.
The shrine is said to bring good luck in marriage, because it is the historical location where the famous Japanese myth of "Umisachihiko and Yamasachihiko," takes place. In the myth, this is the place where Yamasachihiko and Princess Toyotama were united.
・Miyazaki Shrine rest area
The shrine is dedicated to Emperor Jinmu, the first emperor of Japan, and was founded by his grandson Takeiwatatsunomikoto (Takeiwatatsunomikoto: the deity of Aso Shrine) in honor of his relationship with Emperor Jinmu. Emperor Jinmu's parents are enshrined together here, which is why many visitors come to the shrine to pray for family safety, conjugal harmony, blessings of children and a safe delivery during childbirth. Many visitors also pray for victory and academic success because Emperor Jinmu is known for his Eastern Expedition. The rest area with free Wi-Fi access is located in front of the shrine gate.
・Ichibangai Shotengai (shopping arcade)
Ichibangai Shotengai is located at the entrance to Nishitachibana-dori (Nishitachi), a famous nightlife district in Miyazaki Prefecture.
・Wakakusa-dori Shotengai (shopping arcade)
Wakakusa-dori Shotengai is a shopping arcade with a wide variety of stores ranging from fashion to gourmet food.
・Miyazaki Prefectural Government Main Building
The Miyazaki Prefectural Government Building is the fourth oldest active prefectural government building in Japan and the oldest in Kyushu. It was registered as a National Tangible Cultural Property in May 2017.
Free Wi-Fi is available on the first floor of the main building, near the Tourist Information Board.
・Miyako Botanic Garden Aoshima (provided by the prefecture)
Miyako Botanic Garden Aoshima is located on the west coast of Aoshima, a popular tourist destination. In the outer garden, visitors can view colorful tropical trees and flowers, such as bougainvillea and hibiscus, as well as phoenix, queen palm, date palm, and fountain palm which are native to Aoshima.
In the tropical fruit tree greenhouse, pineapples, papayas, starfruit, and other fruit trees are planted to provide a tropical atmosphere.
・Chuo-dori
On Chuo-dori, one street west of Nishitachibana-dori, free Wi-Fi will be installed in three directions from April 2023. Like Nishitachibana-dori, Chuo-dori is also one of the areas of Nishitachi, which is lined with izakayas and snack bars.

Nishitachibana-dori is Miyazaki City's nightlife district lined with izakayas and snack bars! Free Wi-Fi will be installed in two locations from April 2023.
